Atletico Madrid vs Man United has ended in a 1-1 draw in the UCL round of 16 first leg.

Match was played at Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.As both teams were not in a great run of form.
Lineups
Manchester United were the visiting side and started in 4-2-3-1 system with a double pivet of Pogba and Fred.Ronaldo played as a sole striker in the game whereas, Bruno, Sancho and Rashford played behind him
Maguire and Varane started as Centre backs with Shaw, Lindelof as full backs and De Gea in the goal.
Atletico Madrid fielded 4-4-2 with Correa and Felix upfront and midfield of Llorente,Herrera, Kondogbia and Lodi.Back 4 included Giminez, Savic, Vrsal Jko and Reinildo. With Oblak in the goal.
Match Report
Atletico Madrid score very early in the game with Joao Felix.United had 63% of the possession but, was not able to coordinate well to find openings.
Manchester United played one of their worst games in the first half and were the opposite of it in the second half. We can see it was a game of two halves.
Maguire was not covering the run of Felix for the first goal and no one pressurised Lodi when he was delivering the cross.
Cristiano was standing alone at the front without any valuable involvements in link ups.
Whereas, Atletico Madrid played very well and had 13 shots on goal.But, we’re only able to hit 1 of them.
United on the other hand had to wait for Elanga to come off the bench and scire the equaliser in the 79th minute.



Atletico Madrid had more dangerous attacks in the game but, we’re not able to finish their chances.United also had 2 shots on target and scored 1 of them.
Conclusion
Red Devils will now face Atletico in the second leg of the UCL round of 16 at the Old Trafford and would hope to beat Atletico in style.
Scores are level at 1-1 and second leg would be a treat to watch.
