Australia beat India by 6 wickets in the Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first in Auckland.
India came in to bat and had a bad start with both the openers getting out for 10 and 12 runs each.
Yastika Bhatia scored 59 runs,Mithali Raj smashed 68 runs.
Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 57 runs.With this strong middle order foundation and Vastrakar’s quickfire 34 runs in the end.
India reached a total of 277 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Brown got 3 wickets for Australia and Alana grabbed 2.
In response to India’s total Australia had a very solid start with Healy scoring 72 runs and Haynes getting 43.
Meg Lanning also played a Captain’s heroic inning of 97 runs hitting 13 fours.
Beth Mooney finished the job for Aussies with 3 balls to spare and Australia won by 6 wickets.
For India,Vastrakar got 2 wickets.Sneh and Meghna also got one wicket each.
Lanning also got the Player of the Match award for her Inning of 97 crucial runs.
