Australia beat SriLanka by 6 Wickets in the 4th T20i.


Australia beat Srilanka by 6 wickets and 11 balls to spare in the 4th T20 international played at Melbourne cri ke ground(MCG) in Australia.

Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first.Sri Lanka had a good start to their inning as they had 35 run first wicket stand and opener Nissanka went on to score 46 runs.After that Sri Lanka was never in control of the inning as none of the players were able to pass the score of 30 runsruns . Mendis and Assalanka score 27 and 22 runs each. For Australia both J. Richardson and K. Richardson baggeg two wickets each and spinners Zampa and Agar ended with one wicket each.

In response to the Lankan lions, Australia lost their first wicket on 19 runs in the 5th over.Captain Aaron Finch also went cheaply to the dugout.

But,the middle order batters took charge as Maxwell and Inglis scored 48 runs and 40 runs respectively.In the end Maxwell finished things off with a four and won the match for Kangaroos.

Glenn Maxwell won the player of the match award for his 48 runs in the winning contribution for Australia.

Now, Australia lead the series 4-0 and visitors SriLanka will play the last match of the series for their pride and would resist the white wash.

On the other hand, Australia will try to beat the Lankans in the last game to white wash them and leave a mark.

Australia are the reigning T20 champions and in this series they surely ayed like one.

The 5th T20 international will be played on 20th February at the Melbourne cricket ground.
