Round of 16 of the Indian Wells (BNP Paribas) ATP 1000 level tournament are done and we have our quarterfinalists.
Let us review the main highlights of round of 16.
Berrettini vs Kecmanovic
We have another upset as Berrettininlost to Kecmanovic in three sets.

Italian lost the first set 6-3,but, wok the second one 7-6 after some hard fought points
But, he gave away the break again in third set as he saw Kecmanovic beat him and advance to quarters.
Monfils vs Alcaraz.
Gael Monfils lost to Yongster Alcaraz in straight sets.First set was a treat to watch with both competetors fighting for every point.
Alcaraz won it 7-5.Second set was very one sided with Alcaraz settling more into the match and not giving any chances to Monfils.



It resulted in a 6-1 win for Alcaraz who will progress to quarters.
Veteran Monfils who beat Medvedev in r32 is now out of the tournament.
Nadal vs Opelka.
Rafael Nadal won his tie against big American Opelka in very tight sets.
Both the sets went down to the tie breakers.But,Nadal showed more experience and composure to get past Opelka.



The match was a treat for the viewers. As both the players hit some gorgeous shots.
Nadal is now on an unbeaten run of 18 games this season and has surpassed Federer’s tally of 17 games.

Nick Kyrgios won his tie by walkover as Sinner withdrew from the tournament.
Also,defending champ Norrie is through to quarters with a one sided victory over Brooksby.



Dubai Open champion and in form Rublev has also reached the quarters after beating Hurkacz in straight sets.
Dimitrov and Fritz have also won their respective matches and are into the last 8.
Quarterfinal ties : BNP Paribas
In quarters the main highlight will be Nadal vs Kyrgios the match is expected to be a tough one.
But, odds are backing Nadal as he is on an unbeaten run this season.
