FIFA World cup awaits its last week of group stage as we review the 2nd matchweek.

GROUP A

NETHERLANDS.

ECUADOR.

SENEGAL.

QATAR.

Group A sees hosts Qatar eliminating from the group after a subpar display against Ecuador and Senegal.

The other 3 nations are fighting it out with Dutch at the better position.

Netherlands drew with Ecuador placing both the teams at 4 points each.

GROUP B

ENGLAND.

IRAN.

USA.

WALES.

All the teams are still in contention but, Wales has a very minor chance of qualifying and England are nearly qualified due to their better goal difference.

Iran surprisingly beat Wales 2-0 with the other two teams playing a goalless draw.

GROUP C

POLAND.

ARGENTINA.

SAUDI ARABIA.

MEXICO.

After some surprising turn of events Poland are at the top of the table.

Argentina after beating Mexico 2-0 are place second in the group .Saudi lost to Poland and are placed third with Mexico being 4th with a draw.

Any team can qualify from this group as things look very intense.

GROUP D

FRANCE.

AUSTRALIA.

DENMARK.

TUNISIA.

France are the first team to qualify for the Round of 16. With the other three teams still in contention. The last matchday is knockout for the other three teams as France play Tunisia with Denmark facing Australia.

GROUP E

SPAIN.

JAPAN.

COSTA RICA.

GERMANY.

This is by far the most interesting group. All teams except Germany are tied at three points.

The last matchday is a knockout and the winners of both matches shall qualify.

GROUP F

CROATIA.

MOROCCO.

BELGIUM.

CANADA.

Belgium are going out from groups as they are desperate for a win against Croatia in the last match to qualify.

Morocco’s upset put Belgium in a tough position.

GROUP G

BRAZIL.

SWTZERLAND.

CAMEROON.

SERBIA.

Brazil have qualified for the second round as they are top of the table with two wins in two games.

The other three teams will fight it out for the second place.

GROUP H

PORTUGAL.

GHANA.

KOREAN REPUBLIC.

URUGUAY.

Portugal are through with two wins and are expected to top the group with the other teams fighting for one spot.
