India beat SL in the first test by an inning and 222 runs.

3rd day started with Sri Lanka having 6 wickets in hand in the first inning.

But,Indian bowlers bowled really well as Jadeja bagged 5 wickets in the first inning and SL were bolwed out for 174.

As a result, Lankans got the follow-on and had to bat again.

In the second inning situation was the same and SL got all out for 178 runs.

Jadeja took 4 wickets in the second inning,Ashwin also bagged 4 wickets.

As a result,India won the match with an inning and 222 runs.

SriLanka showed a shambolic display as they lost 16 wickets in a day and players made very bad shot selections.

Ravindra Jadeja became the player of the match for his blistering knock of 175 runs and 9 wickets in the match.
