India beat WI by 8 runs in the secon T20 international played at the Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata.
WI won the toss and elected to bowl first.India lost their first wicket for the score of 10 runs.Cormer Captain Virat Kohli came one down and scored a well deserved half century.Also, Rishabh Pant scored a brilliant quick fifty with Venkatesh Iyer scoring a flashing 33 runs in just 18 balls.India scored 186 runs for the fall of 5 wickets.
For WI Chase bagged 3 wickets with Cottrell and Shepherd getting one wicket each.
In response to the Blues, WI opened their innings with King and Mayers and built a good opening stand of 34 runs.
Wicketkeeper Nicolas Pooran scored a brilliant 62 runs and Powell also scored a magnificent 68 runs off 36 balls.
For India, Kumar, Chahal and Bishnoi took one wicket each and helped India beat WI.
In the end, WI scored 178 runs for 3 wickets. Indian total seemed to be too much for the visitors as they fell short by 8 runs.
Rishabh Pant won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant 52 off 28 deliveries which helped team India reach the 186 run mark.
India has now won both the T20 internationals and will hope to beat WI in the third match to complete the series undefeated.
The third T20 international will be played on 20th February at the Eden Gardens stadium Kolkata as WI would look to turn things around for the one last time.
