Indian Wells : Big Upsets take place.


Indian Wells,the ATP 1000 level tennis tournament is underway and we have big upsets to talk about.

Monfils vs Medvedev : Indian Wells

Round of 32 in the men’s category is underway and Gael Monfils has surprisingly knocked out world No.1 Daniil Medvedev in a three set match.

Monfils lost the first set 6-4 to the Russian and was not looking settled on the court.

But,in the second set Gael found the sweet spot on the racquet and Medvedev’s unforced errors increased as a result Daniil lost the second set 6-3.

In third set Medvedev didn’t put a fight as Monfils came into vintage mode beating him 6-1 and bookinv a place in round of 16 against high flying Alcaraz.

Tsitsipas vs Brooksby

Stefanos Tsitsipas also suffered a very surprising loss to Brooksby.Tsitsipas won the first set one sided as he put up a score of 6-1.

But,in second and third set Tsitsipas played a very average game for a player of his caliber and lost both the sets by 6-3 and 6-2.

Nadal vs Evans : Indian Wells

The Veteran Rafael Nadal on the other hand won his tie against Evans of UK.

Nadal is not currently playing his best tennis but still managed to go past Evans.Nadal won the first set 7-5 and won the second set 6-3.

Nadal is now the favourite to win the Title as both Medvedev and Tsitsipas are out.

Other Results

But,there is still a lot of competition left in the tournament as Berettini will play his round of 32 tie today.

Earlier Zverev crashee out of the tournament schockingly in the round of 64.

Nick Kyrgios is also easing pass his opponents and could be the one to look out for.

Whereas, Denis Shapovalov lost to Opelka who will now face Nadal in round of 16.

Rublev is another guy to look out for as he will play his round of 32 tie against Tiafoe.

Now,Medvedev is out and as a result he will lose his No.1 spot to Novak Djokovic who isn’t even playing any tournament.

Tournament is going towards it’s important rounds and we can see a dark horse lifting the title this time.
