There were some interesting one on one battles in the game which included Van Dijk and Edin Dzeko. The Liverpool star came out on top for most of the times. Also Andy Robertson was clearly the best player on the pitch as he was running up and down to his flank and provided great attacking threat along with a great defensive workrate. He also provided the assist to Firmino for the first goal.

Now, Liverpool will have a two goal advantage over Inter going into the second leg at Anfield. Playing at Anfield in an away fixture in UCL is a very tough job to do as the Liverpool fans support their club with full intensity and built a lot of pressure on visiting teams.

Moreover, Liverpool one of the main trophy contenders are poised to go through to the next round.
