Man City beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the first leg of UCL quarterfinal at Etihad Stadium.

Lineups
Manchester City
English champions fielded a 4-3-3 lineup with Mahrez, Bernardo and Sterling upfront.
De Bruyne, Rodri and Gundogan started in the middle with Cancelo and Ake as full backs.
Stones and Laporte partnered as centre halves.
Atletico Madrid
Well, on paper Atletico started with a 5-3-2 formation with Griezmann and Felix uptop.

Match Report
This match was supposed to be an interesting encounter but,the game was completely dead.
Atletico Madrid shifted to a 5-5-0 formation with literally parking two buses in front of City.
We expected Atletico to be defensive but, this was insane.Madrid had 0 shots.
Atletico had 27% of the possession and literally created nothing.
This was nearly a Diego Someone masterclass.
City players were very frustrated and were getting very anxious in the second half.
Man City had 73% possession and had 15 shots.
But,De Bruyne’s goal in the 69th minute made their way out of the match.
Phil Foden was the player who changed the game after coming on from the bench.

Finally, City has got something to hold on to.
The second leg will take place at Wanda Metropolitano.
We can expect a similar game with Atletico just going for counters.
