Manchester City beat Fulham (4-1) to book themselves a place in the next round.
The match was quite even for the first 10 minutes, both teams shared 50% possession scoring a goal each. In fact Fulham looked a lot comfortable on the ball in the first quarter of the match.

Fabio Carvalho of Fulham opened the scoring in the 4th minute, with Ilkay Gundogan cancelling it out in the 6th. Defender John Stones scored with a header from the corner in the 13th minute giving citizens a 2-1 lead.

As the match proceeded forward citizens started controlling the game quite swiftly with Riyad Mahrez scoring a brace in the second half which included a penalty.
