Mexican Open is set to observe the semi finals tomorrow, let us do a Mexican Open : Catch Up.

The tournament began on 20th February with qualifiers and would observe the final on 27th February.

C.Norrie vs P.Gojowczyk

C.Norrie beat P.Gojowczyk in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. Norrie was clearly the better player in the game as he won 62 points compared to opponent’s 34 points.

C.Norrie has 3 singles title in the ATP tour and will hope to win another one

Rafael Nadal vs T.Paul

Rafael Nadal cruise past T. Paul of USA in straight sets 6-0, 7-6.Nadal looked very comfortable and was smashing big backhands.

He looked a bit rusty in the second set but won it in the end and entered the semi finals.

Daniil Medvedev vs Y. Nishioka

Soon to be world no.1 Medvedev beat Nishioka of Japan in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.Medvedev looked comfortable and smashed big aces.

Nishioka impressed with some of his shots but,Medvedev was too much for him.

Tsitsipas vs M.Giron

Tsitsipas beat Giron in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in the quarter final match.

Tsitsipas had less first serve% than Giron but,overall he was better than the American.

SEMI-FINALS

Now, C.Norrie will face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first semi final.Tsitsipas is poised as the favourite but, Norrie can give great fight and result can go against the odds.

The second semi final is the rematch of Australian Open final as Champion Rafael Nadal will face the other finalist Daniil Medvedev.

Australian Open final was a match to be remembered and this match is also poised to be a great contest.
