Lineups

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs fielded a 3-4-2-1 formation with Kane uptop and Kulusevski and Son behind him.

Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon and Doherty started in the middle.Romero, Dier and Ben Davies started as three centre backs.With Lloris in goal.

Everton

Everton started with a 3-5-2 formation as Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin played uptop with Van De Been, Allan and Doucoure in the middle.

Gordon and Kenny played as wing backs with Keane, Holgate and Coleman playing as centre halves.

Pickford started in the goal.

Match Report

Tottenham started the match strongly with an own goal from Keane in the 13th minute.

Son doubled the lead in 17th minute.Harry Kane could not miss the scoresheet as he also scored one in 37th minute with an assist from Doherty.

Spurs had a 3 goal lead going into the second half.

Second half, started and Reguilon scored another one for spurs,with Kane completing the five in 55th minute.

Kane scored 2 goals with Doherty and Kulusevski getting a brace of assists each.

Spurs had about 53% of the possession and had 14 shots on goal.

Everton were completely absent as they weren’t able to create much and had no shots on target.They tried to create more attacks but failed to produta productive one.

Conclusion

Spurs were not in a great run of form but have now made a statement with this 5-0 victory.

They addition of Bentancur and Kulusevski has proved to be a crucial factor for Spurs.

They are still in the top 4 race and can qualify if Gunners drop some points.

Whereas, Everton with their new manager had manager’s charm in first few games but,failed to even play better against Spurs.

Everton are now, 16th on the table and can be relegated for the first time un a very long time.
